Arriving in Houston
Arriving in Houston is convenient for Texas Southern University (TSU) students. Located just 20 minutes from any part of Greater Houston, TSU is easily accessible via three major freeways and Metro bus stops near the campus. The city offers two airports—Houston Bush Intercontinental, 25 miles north of the city, and Houston Hobby, located closer to the university. Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport is located 25 miles north of the city. The airport bus service, located near the baggage claim area, runs every 30 minutes from 7:15-12:45 a.m. The bus goes to downtown Houston. From there, students can take a taxi to the university or to a hotel near the university.
While taxis provide direct transportation from both airports, airport bus services offer a budget-friendly alternative from Bush Intercontinental to downtown Houston, with taxi connections to TSU or nearby accommodations.
