Ernest S. Sterling Student Life Center (SSLC)
The Sterling Student Life Center (SSLC) is the heart of campus life at Texas Southern University. It's where students from accross the university come together to experience the vibrant social, cultural, and educational atmosphere that defines one of Texas’s premier HBCUs.
Located along the iconic Tiger Walk, the SSLC is home to several key student organizations and administrative offices, including:

The Student Life Center serves as a hub for creativity, leadership, and engagement.
Through events, programs, and initiatives, students are encouraged to bring their
ideas to life in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
On any given day, you’ll find students connecting with friends, fraternity brothers, and sorority sisters in the lobby, game room, or just outside the SSLC. Student organizations frequently host events here; from educational seminars and leadership workshops to meet-and-greets and autograph signings with emerging artists.
The SSLC also houses Chartwells Higher Ed Food Services, inclduing Tiger Dining, Chick-fil-A,Tiger Social, and Kitchen 1927. As well as other essential campus resources such as the , Tiger Pantry, Copy Center, Computer Lab, and Tiger1 Card Office.
Texas Southern University’s Office of Student Life proudly maintains membership in the American College Union International (ACUI) and the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA), continuing its commitment to student growth and engagement.
Tiger Pantry
The Tiger Pantry is here to support our TSU students by providing free non-perishable food items and hygiene prodcuts to those in need. Open every Wednesday from 11AM - 3PM, the pantry is made possible through generous dontations and community partnerships to ensure every Tiger has access to essential resources. Don't forget to bring your Tiger1 Card for entry!
Copy Center
Need o print or make copies? The Copy Center, loctaed on the second floor of the Sterling Student Life Center, is here to help! The center offers affordable, high-quality prinitng and copying services for all TSU departments, faculty, staff, and students. TSU Game Room
Welcome to the Texas Southern University Game Room and home of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship Women’s Tiger Bowling Team!
Located on the 2nd floor of the Sterling Student Life Center (SSLC), the game room
is your go-to spot to relax, have fun, and connect with friends. Think of it as your
home away from home. A place to study, game, dine, or just unwind while listening
to great music.

Everyone is welcomed with a valid Student ID Card. The Game Room is also available for student organzation programs, department gatherings, birthday celebrations, and private events.
